About
Powerful tools, without the plumbing.
The best software is too often buried behind terminals, install steps, and setup that assumes you already know the lingo. So great ideas stall — not for lack of vision, but for lack of plumbing. Gattaca exists to close that gap.
We take real, capable tools and package them so they just run — for people who bring the ideas, not a computer-science degree.
The name
The building blocks of life.
Gattaca is spelled from the four letters of DNA — G, A, T, and C. They’re the smallest pieces that, arranged the right way, build something living and capable.
That’s how we think about tools: small, dependable building blocks you can pick up and combine into whatever you’re making. We handle the chemistry. You do the building.
What we believe
A few things we won’t budge on.
It just runs.
Download, open, go. No install scripts, no terminal incantations, no setup maze. If a tool needs something else to work, we say so in plain English and link you straight to it.
You own it.
Each tool is a one-time purchase you keep. No subscription holding your work hostage, no account you have to keep paying to use what you already bought.
Plain language, always.
We write for people with ideas, not jargon. Every screen, email, and instruction assumes you're smart and busy — not that you already speak developer.
On your machine.
Your tools run locally, on your terms. No cloud lock-in required to get started — the thing you downloaded is yours to run, today and later.
Who it’s for
Made for builders, not coders.
Founders, makers, writers, tinkerers — anyone with something to build and no patience for the setup. Two tools are live today, with more on the way. Browse what’s here, or get a note when the next one ships.
